the show

my first show. well. kind of.

Gerard McCabe presents Noir (with my darling M).

Showcasing some of Australia's best designers in a pint-sized Adelaide fashion week (night... or should I say 'Noir' lol...)

Kudos to Gerard McCabe for bringing us everything from Antipodium and Alannah Hill to Therese Rawsthorn and Tim O'Connor and finally giving Adelaide a taste of the high life. The mixed collection displayed some fantastic pieces highlighting unusually current global fashion trends (hello sheer fabric!). However, it was a Paolo Sebastian (correct me if I'm wrong) dress with tulle skirt and beaded corset top that stole the show (and a few hearts!).

The warm cocktails on arrival, lack of seating and Adelaide socialites out in full force to "not care about the clothes... just here to socialise" definately show that our city has a fair way to go before will designers WANT to showcase here... But hey, at least it's a start.

  2. You could hear the gasps as that Paolo Sebastian dress came out! The Miss Unkon one was great too!
